These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of Career Compass AI ("Service"), operated by Disha Gupta, trading as Career Compass AI ("we", "us", "our"). By creating an account, starting a trial, buying a subscription, or otherwise using the Service, you agree to these Terms.
1. The Service
Career Compass AI is a web application that helps job seekers organize applications, tailor resumes, draft cover letters, and prepare for interviews using AI-assisted tools.
2. Eligibility and Accounts
You must be of legal age in your jurisdiction to use Career Compass AI. You are responsible for keeping your login credentials confidential, for activity under your account, and for providing accurate information.
3. Acceptable Use
You must not misuse the Service, including by:
- using Career Compass AI unlawfully or for fraud, spam, harassment, or abuse;
- infringing intellectual property, privacy, or other rights of others;
- uploading malware or attempting to interfere with security or availability;
- probing, scraping, reverse engineering, or bypassing technical limits;
- reselling, redistributing, or misrepresenting access to the Service.
4. AI Features and Your Content
Career Compass AI uses generative AI to assist with resumes, cover letters, interview preparation, and application answers. You are responsible for your prompts, for having rights to input content, and for reviewing outputs before use. AI outputs may be inaccurate or incomplete and are not regulated professional advice. We may filter, refuse, remove, or restrict content and suspend accounts to prevent abuse or rights violations.
5. Intellectual Property
Career Compass AI, including its software, design, documentation, and branding, is owned by Disha Gupta. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use Career Compass AI within your selected plan. You retain ownership of content you upload and grant us a limited license to host and process it solely to provide the Service.
6. Payments, Subscriptions, and Refunds
Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle provides all customer service inquiries and handles returns. Subscription billing, taxes, cancellations, and payment mechanics are handled under Paddle's Buyer Terms and our Refund Policy.
7. Service Availability
We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free performance. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim implied warranties, including merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose.
8. Suspension and Termination
We may suspend or terminate access for material breach, non-payment, suspected fraud or security risk, or repeated or serious policy violations. After termination, you may request an export of your data within a reasonable window before it is deleted.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, our aggregate liability is capped at the fees you paid for Career Compass AI in the twelve months before the claim. We exclude liability for indirect, consequential, or special damages, including loss of profits, data, or goodwill. Nothing in these Terms limits liability for fraud, death, or personal injury where prohibited by law.
10. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the seller's jurisdiction. Disputes will be resolved in the competent courts of that jurisdiction.
